  • Is there a dress code?
    No. As long as what you wear or don't wear is 'street legal', then you are ok! Austin PRIDE does not enforce a dress code. But be cool don't be all.... uncool.
  • What can/can't I bring to the event?
    No outside food or drinks are allowed. The City of Austin Parks are smoke free. If you bring a pet, please be prepared to clean up any pet waste. There are also no weapons of any kind allowed. Please be prepared to have bags checked upon entry.
  • Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
    ID's must be presented at the Gate to receive a Festival Wristband. Those without an ID or those under the age of 21, will be given an 'Underage' wristband. Those 21+ will be given a '21+ Wristband'. Please have your ID's ready upon entering the Festival. Children's tickets will be available at the Festival ONLY: Children ages 6 and under are FREE, Children 7-17 will be $10 for General Admission.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    Yes! Dogs are allowed and must be on a leash. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Please plan ahead to ensure your pet stays hydrated and cool.
  • How much are tickets?
    Prices vary depending on age. Children 6 and under are FREE, Children 7-17 are half price ($10) and can only be purchased at the gate, those 17+ are full price. Discounted tickets are sold in advance online.
  • Will there be ATMs available?
    Yes! There will be multiple ATM's on site. Long lines can form from time to time, so please plan on bringing some cash with you in case you need it.
  • Can I bring food into the Festival?
    No outside food is allowed. There are food vendors located within the Festival and have exclusive contracts to sell and distribute food, as approved by the City of Austin Health Department.
  • Will there be tickets available at the gate?
    Yes! Tickets for the Festival WILL be available at the Festival gates. Price is $20 cash for adults, $10 for children 7-17, children 6 and under are free. Please note, you will need to que in the General Admission line at the Festival, should you choose to purchase them there
  • Where do proceeds go?
    Back to the community! Proceeds from Austin PRIDE are donated back to the community, via the Austin PRIDE Cares Program. Numerous groups and organizations are able to carry on their vital work by receiving donations from Austin PRIDE!
  • Can we use tickets saved to our smartphone?
    Yes! Advance tickets can be saved to your smartphone! Tickets purchased online in advance must be printed or downloaded to your smart phone for scanning, in order to receive your wristband at the gate.
  • Can I bring in my own alcohol?
    No. Alcohol is heavily regulated by TABC. Austin PRIDE Events that take place at establishments have their own liquor licenses and outside food/drink are not allowed.
  • Is the Parade free to attend/view?
    Yes! There is no cost to view the Parade, which starts at 8pm, on Saturday, August 11th, at the Capitol, marching down Congress and across 4th/Bettie Naylor. There will be VIP seating available. Those tickets can be purchased online in advance.
  • When do Festival Gates open?
    Festival Gates open at 11am on Saturday, August 11th.
  • What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
    Parking is LIMITED at the Festival. You can ride share, carpool or use the Hike & Bike Trail on Lady Bird Lake. You may use the two parking lots located to the North on Jesse E. Segovia or the parking lot located to the East of the Festival grounds.
  • Do the rides/attractions require an additional fee?
    No, rides/attractions at the Festival do NOT have an additional fee; they are including in your ticket price.
  • Will you release a list of performance times?
    Yes! A full list of performance times will be published on our site, our FB Event, FB Page and in this App.
  • Are weapons allowed?
    No. Weapons are not allowed at any Austin PRIDE event. Anyone trying to enter any Austin PRIDE event with a weapon will be denied entry. This is for the safety of all our guests. We have plenty of security and a team of officers on site that will ensure the safey of our guests. If you do not feel safe without carrying a weapon, we ask that you skip the festival and attend our parade at 8pm on Congress Avenue!
  • Can I bring alcohol or drinks into the Festival?
    No outside drinks are allowed. This event holds a temporary permit. All alcohol must be purchased from our vendors.
  • Can I bring in a bag or backpack?
    Yes! However, all bags, purses and backpacks will be searched upon entry.
  • Does our General Admission Ticket include viewing of both stages?
    Yes! General Admission tickets include viewing both stages of entertainment.
